I had such an awful experience with this agency. My only saving grace was a nurse that came to visit my mother. Her name was Eileen. The kindest and most compassionate person. Went over and above for us. Otherwise everyone else there was awful. Shameful.

This place is disgusting. What a disgrace. The most uncompassionate people I ever met. Nurse on call cane to see my dad and I believe she had the flu. Suzanne the director has a voice mail that is always full. I told the receptionist to have her call me. I’ve been waiting two days and still no call. One nurse is contradicting what the other nurses are saying. They have been rude to me and they don’t send anyone to see my dad. Sick, sick people. I want to report them.

Finally in either September or October I received a call from a social worker asking what help my husband needed! I was so distraught that they actually called after all those months and I told her nothing - it was too late for their “help”. Apparently no one informed the social worker - very poor communication. We had two very good aides but the agency kept pulling them f... read more

My elderly parents receive benefits through a VNA grant. Service through this grant has proved unreliable and inconsistent. Today my father who has limited mobility due to brain injury waited in soiled bed clothes to be bathed and dressed. The aide didn’t show up. My mother was told that the aide was afraid to drive her car today. (It was 45 degrees and sunny today). No back up was offered. No alternative solution was provided. How are we supposed to plan for this on the day of the expected service? My father is supposed to... read more

I DONT TRUST “The Visiting Nurses Association of Staten Island” ... based on their Employees at 400 Lake Ave... - They don’t seem to require Drug Tests - They allow Sexual Misconduct in the office btwn Nurses and Managment (BARRINTON) in order to keep their jobs - They allow Felons with Violent charges to work as Nurses - Nurses are allowed to falsify patient paperwork - Nurses get to manipulate their own work schedules and get paid the same amount - HR allows Nurses to get away with STALKING regular people from office ph... read more
