I have to say this is the best moving company I have ever used hands down! I have moved many times in NYC over the 18 years I have lived here and have had some really awful experiences. I found Big John's on here and because they were the only company that promptly responded to me and showed up on time to give me an on site quote, I went with them. Accurate estimate of time and money. Crew that moved out was professional, careful, and fast. Crew that moved back in had to be watched so that they didn't damage the renovated apartment. Moved everything out, stored for 6 weeks then moved everything back into the apartment
The crew actually came early and called to find out if it would work for me to start earlier; their arriving early actually made it easier for me. The started work immediately. I had run out of packing boxed the night before and they took over and finished the packing very quickly. Every member of the crew was professional, helpful and pleasant to work with. Moved apt contents to temporary storage pending further move to new location. Very professional, quick and courteous. Highly recommended.
They packed up the apt and moved items to two locations. They were on time, very careful and courteous and items arrived in one piece delivered to the correct locations. They also delivered a refund promptly as the job was completed faster than projected. Wouldn't use any other mover.
Big John's Moving was the best moving experience I've ever had, starting with the estimate and working with Nick Russell. Every interaction on the phone and in-person was professional and courteous, including my questions about obtaining the certificate of insurance required by my new building. The move went exceptionally well. We used Big John's for our move from 84th St. to a larger apartment on 90th St. in 2011 and they were superb. We didn't even bother to get a quote from another company for our move to the suburbs yesterday (with our 20month old and dog in tow this time). As with the previous move, we got a free estimate (from a very friendly and professional estimator-- and the estimate was spot on). This was my second move with them. They are very professional and attentive to detail. They only come south once a month. They are very kind and very professional. Moved me out of New York 3/27 and moved me in to Wilmington on 7/7 with storage in between.
