Big Johns was prompt, courtious and professional. The experience started with an in home estimate that ended up being very accurate. My husband and I did not finish packing in time and Big Johns did a great job of getting things boxed up and moved out. They worked h****** a very hot day and under move in conditions that were not ideal (the service entrance in our new apartment was narrow and steep). I would recommend them to anyone. Packing and moving.
Their price was within the other prices we looked in to. They were on time and professional. They were very good, and we were happy with the results. They moved us within New York City to our new apartment.

They were nice and professional. This estimate was reasonable. They were good at call backs and being responsive. I wouldn't hesitate with going with them to do the job. They came in and gave me an estimate.
I was very pleased with them. They lived up to their high rating on Angie's List. My things arrived with no breakage and they arrived when they said they would and they were able to get everything in very quickly with four guys. They were very pleasant and a very comfortable experience. They moved all of my things from New York to my present home and helped wrap some things.
My experience with Big John's Moving was pleasant and easy from the time I first used the company's website to the point when I phoned the company to say that I would not be using its services. The only reason I did not use Big John's is that I found another, smaller, company recommended to me by friends which would cost just a bit more than half of what Big John's Moving would have cost me. I had used Big John's first in the 1990's for a local NYC move and then again in 2001 for a long distance move, and they were always great, the staff is friendly, professional and calming with good humor on that most stressful event. I called them again this year for a local move in Manhattan and this time moved without moral support from friends and family, due to schedules. They were prompt and fast. One thing I did not expect is that they charged me for transit to my first apartment and so it ended up costing more than I had anticipated. They moved me across town to a new apartment.
The guys were great. I was amazed at the stuff they were able to carry. They packed up things I didn't pack (charged me of course) and did a very good job. Moved from two bedroom coop to house.
