Needed to move my grandmother's belongings to my house fairly quickly. Called and got a response from Ken's within a day. Price was quoted and I agreed with terms. 4 men with truck arrived at apartment within specified timeframe and promptly got to work. Although estimated time to complete task was 6 hours, They were done within 3 (saving me money)!!! I had two very large closets that I needed moved away from the wall so the room could be painted. They didn't arrive on time but once they did they moved the objects very quickly and efficiently. I thought $140 was a little steep for this service but we are elderly and couldn't chance trying to move them ourselves.
All staff, Ken, Karen, and the moving men. is nice, helpful, responsive and, efficient - very professional. Since my move was small, all arrangements were accomplished easily by phone and email. Our moving day, and estimate were agreed upon satisfactorily,and Karen took care of all administrative details with the two building management offices.The estimate was $440 plus $80 for insurance certificates and workman's comp for both buildings.The estimate was well below others and remained as quoted. Movers arrived promptly, moved everything with care, wrapped items and nothing was broken. Everything arrived safe to the new home. I was very satisfied and would use them again. Move contents from home to new house several blocks away.
Ken came to assess my needs before the move and gave me an estimate. On moving day, five very pleasant young men, had me packed and moved in less than five hours. They truly eased my anxieties. Five obvious professional movers packed my kitchen things, some clothes and all my furniture and moved me to a temporary location. I will have them move me back home when the time is right.
Ken's moving was the best experience we could have asked for. Ken was always on time when surveying the move, and when we needed boxes he was at our door the exact minute he said he would. His move out crew was super efficient and very careful with our stuff. Everything was wrapped and padded superbly. All went well as expected and presented. Moved furniture and personal belongings.
Came on time 9:30 and completed entire job at 12:30. Price was $200 below estimate, workers were very efficient. Moved couch, love seat, chairs, large tassock, rug, dresser, and a bed from Bayside to Flagger NJ and dumped 1 dresser, recliner and couch.
Pricing was reasonable and cheapest out of all the estimates we got (some from Angie's list, some are not). They were very punctual. Ken's quote was for 1 truck and 4 men, but he sent 1 truck and 5 men (the 5th man was free). The movers were very friendly, but were also conscious of not chatting too much to get the job done; after all they were being paid by the hour.
